I’m Harper!

I live in Central Otago, and I help people get their homes ready to sell.

I've always been the person who rearranges the furniture at a friend's house. A few years ago I turned that into a business, and I haven't stopped moving things since.

Hey there,

What I believe

A house should look like a home, not a showroom.
Buyers want to picture their own life there, so I leave room for that.

You don't need to buy a lot.
Most homes just need less clutter, better layout and a few well-chosen pieces.

Light does most of the work.
Open the curtains, clean the windows and swap the bulbs. It costs almost nothing and changes every room.

Selling a home is emotional.
It's full of memories, so I'll be honest about what to change, and kind about how I say it.

A few facts

I will always move a cushion that's out of place, even in a stranger's house.

Favourite room to style: a small bedroom, because there's the most room for improvement.

Can't style without: a lint roller, a tape measure and a very large bag of cushions.

Coffee order: a flat white, drunk while it's still hot, which is rare.

Best advice I give: clear your kitchen bench.

I once rearranged a whole living room in twenty minutes, and the owners didn't recognise it.
